Dressage Clinic with Dr. Thomas Ritter
Location and Date:
The Dressage Committee is delighted to welcome Physiotherapist,
Susie Franz in a joint clinic with Dr. Thomas Ritter, one day only, on Saturday,
November 15. Susie has years of experience in human physical therapy
which she has now integrated with her extensive equine background. She is
the director of Indian Creek Equine Rehabilitation Center in Worden,
Illinois.
In conjunction with students' riding lessons, Susie will be
evaluating the dynamic relationship between horse and rider, observing their
biomechanics both individually and as a team. Handouts for participants will
detail the relationships of pelvic stability in the horse and rider. Lecture
discussions will explain "mirrored dysfunction" of horse and rider
as
well
as provide techniques and exercises for the correction of pelvic imbalances
and core muscle strengthening. This opportunity is for one day only.
